Machine shops have plenty of hazards, some are easily seen while other
are quite hidden. For a person to work
in a machine shop he needs to know where to look for those hazards and how to
prevent them from injuring himself or others.
Some of the common injuries that can be prevented are caught/crush by a machine, cuts, debris in the
eye, and burns. Injuries can also be a severe as severed
limbs or even death
